Jack and Barney are in the Background

Audience wanted! Jack and Barney need to film 30 hours’ worth of stock footage of a ‘comedy show’. The footage will hopefully be used as part of a cutaway in a Hollywood film, or shown on a telly in the background of an Australian soap. Hecklers will need to wear mics. If someone could spill a drink around the forty minute mark, that’d be great. Let’s make it realistic folks.

Your hosts have done their research, and have been practicing comedy just to prepare. Jack is now one half of acclaimed double-act ‘Moon’ (‘One of best-reviewed shows of Fringe 2018’ British Comedy Guide) and has written for BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Now Show’. Barney pretended to be a stand up comedian and accidentally swept his way to the final stages of some competitions (Amused Moosed New Act 2018 Finalist, Winner Stand Up for Cider 2018, So You Think You’re Funny 2018 semi-finalist, Max Turner Award 2019 semi-finalist).

Joined by mystery guests, we’ll be generating an authentically raucous, wonderfully random cabaret. It’ll almost feel real.

Praise for previous work:

“Magical stuff” **** The List

“Feels like the start of a cult comedy career, maybe more” **** Chortle

“Wonderfully warped” **** The Scotsman
