"Abide the change of time." Cymbeline II.4.

Following their award-winning production of ‘Gobland for the Goblins!’ (★★★★★ Families Edinburgh), Aulos Productions proudly presents a timely reimagining of Shakespeare’s better and lesser known works in the wake of our current social and political upheavals.

Three Edinburgh theatre practitioners come together to celebrate social change through the timeless words of Shakespeare. Featuring five starkly different scenes from his folios, ‘Shakespeare Catalysts’ challenges audiences to question ‘change’ in our modern world, whether it be something as intimate as the loss of a loved one at old age or the political shake-ups rocking both Europe and the rest of the world.

Aulos Productions is a multi award-winning Edinburgh-based theatre company whose recent productions include ‘First Class’ (“a unique, meaningful piece of drama”, ★★★★ The Edinburgh Reporter); ‘Women of the Mourning Fields’ (“breathtakingly ambitious … A sterling example of high-concept theatre done right”, ★★★★ Fringe Guru; nominated for Best Production at the Buxton Fringe Festival 2015); ‘Lest We Forget’ (“a sensitive and thought-provoking play” ★★★★ Broadway Baby; nominated for Best Production and Best New Writing at the Buxton Fringe Festival 2016), and ‘Gobland for the Goblins!’ (“A hugely enjoyable show” ★★★★★ Families Edinburgh; winner of the Best Children’s Show at the Edinburgh Fringe Derek Awards 2017). This year they are working on ‘Antigone na h’Éireann’, which will hit the Buxton and Greater Manchester Fringe Festivals before joining ‘Shakespeare Catalysts’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
