Daniel Muggleton is an Australian stand-up comedian from Sydney, which is objectively a better city than Melbourne, just trust him. He is currently based in London, UK.

He has sold out shows at festivals around Australia: Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Canberra Comedy Festival, Darwin Fringe & Sydney Fringe - as well as at The Edinburgh Fringe. Daniel was twice selected as a FRESH Artist to Watch at The Sydney Comedy Festival in 2014 & 2015, he has been invited to perform an encore of his 2016 show ‘Let Me Finish’ at The Comedy Store, Sydney and performed as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase Tour & Break Out Showcase in 2017.

Daniel’s debut album ‘Let Me Finish’ was released in 2017 by Grammy Award-Winning US label Comedy Dynamics. He’s the first Australian comedian they’ve ever produced… suck it, Rove. They will also be released his debut special 'Let's Never Hang Out' in 2018 - stay tuned.

Outside of festivals, Daniel hosts the annual Jokes To Bang To Comedy Tour of rural universities and has been invited to open for big dogs Neel Kolhatkar and Steve Hofstetter. Once he performed stand-up at a gay wedding in Sydney before they were legal, because he’s a rebel.

Daniel occasionally does other things. Sometimes he hosts big events such as Burgapalooza, Pigsty in July, Oktoberfest Canberra and Canberra Commons Street Feast Trivia. He’s written for A Rational Fear (FBi) & award-winning web series SYD2030. He’s also been seen on Australian TV’s The Feed (SBS) in a weird sketch with super cool lady Lee Lin Chin.

Daniel was born and raised in Sydney, spent his childhood playing cricket, hating Brett Lee and not having siblings. He graduated from The University of New South Wales with a Law Degree thanks to Lyndon Goddard’s very thorough notes. Cheers mate, my parents appreciate it.

'An hour nonstop of laughs' - The Plus Ones
'His observations stayed just this side of affectionate' - Broadway Baby

News and Reviews for this Show

August 22, 2018  The Mumble
Daniel Muggleton appears on stage like some Alexandrine statue, Callimachus perhaps, & beacause of the smart confidence to his delivery emits the same sagely energy. He is an Australian living in London, & this is his third Fringe in a row. Daniel has a really easy vibe, & at the commencement of his show, as he chatted with every party in the room, he reminded me of a recycling truck which visits the street house-by-house, emptying the blue & red plastic boxes of all that Fringe junk, & leaving our mental vestibules fresh for more comedy.

Mr Muggleton is no cavalry charger, but as his libertine mind gondaliers through his material, he does appear happiest taking the subtle piss out of anyone & anything, including himself. Along the way we are treated to a contemporizing tour of his personal zeitgeist; Brexit, Tube Travel, potentially imminent fatherhood, racism – all of which varied in quality, but was entertaining enough. I must admit the ‘vagina voodoo shit‘ of his finale-tale held a pre-eminent fascination.

It was towards the end when he began chatting to a fellow Aussie about the alternate colloquial understandings of the word ‘dogging’ that I had a wee epiphany. When Mr Muggleton interacts with the audience, the room lights up, you can feel the warmth, & its a genuinely great place to be. My instinct tells me that if Daniel can weave a show where his jokes bounce off the audience interactions, a rainbow may sunder the sky along which path should lie his comedy gold. Click Here
