Mr Children Man (Adam Blampied) is not the Children's Laureate because of relentless institutional cowardice, but this year he's embarking on his very first ever reading tour, and it's right here on the Laughing Horse Free Festival.

Acclaimed author of Fabulous Fergus Goes To The Circus, The Ugly Duck Face, Why Does My Rabbit Want To Kill Me, and The Animals of Misery Forest, Mr Children Man writes the stories that no one else can, should, is able to, or even wants to. When asked why most of his stories feature death, existential trauma or a protagonist who really hates his own mother, Mr Children Man responded "Kids need to hear this. Pass me that crossbow." (disclaimer: this show is not at all suitable for children)

Adam Blampied is a member of sketch group The Beta Males and as well as being nominated for the 2012 Sketch Group of the Year Chortle Award, the Beta have also garnered the following press:

5 stars from ThreeWeeks and TVBomb
4 Stars from BroadwayBaby, Edinburgh Evening News, Fest, The List, The Sunday Times
One of Brian Logan's top 10 jokes of the fringe according to our Guardian review,
And that was just in 2014!

This show that features puppetry, songs and a pastiche of the Animals of Farthing Wood. A lot of animals were harmed in the writing of that story.

And finally:

Do Not Bring Your Children To This Show.

This has caused problems in the past.
